Skyway Landscapes starts with an initial consultation to discuss your vision and needs for your outdoor space. We then create a custom design plan, which includes a detailed outline of materials, plants, and layout. Once the plan is approved, we will begin the installation process.

We offer irrigation design, installation and repairs.  We can winterize irrigation systems and do spring startups.  We can handle all of your irrigation needs.

Thatch is basically the buildup of dead plant material in your grass canopy.  This can be from clippings, rhizomes, stems, and leaves to name a few.  The buildup of this material can create a hydrophobic layer which greatly reduces the efficiency of your irrigation, can tie up nutrients and air flow.  All of this reduces the capacity of your lawn to be resilient and makes it more susceptible to disease and traffic wear.  Voles also love using your thatch to burrow and make tunnels in the winter which leaves noticeable spring damage.  Kentucky Bluegrass and Fescues are notorious thatch producers and common grasses for many lawns in our area.

For dethatching we use a tine rake to pull and break up the thatch layer which is immediately mowed and bagged to permanently remove it from the profile.  This will leave you with a happier, healthier, and better looking lawn.
